How We Got Here...
Over 40 years ago, the Veterinary Apparel Company was formed from necessity. At this time, my husband had recently graduated with his Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University and decided he wanted to open his own practice here in Battle Creek, Michigan. There were not enough matching scrubs for his staff and no uniform stores in our area, so we began to research manufacturers, order scrubs in bulk for his clinic needs, and sell the excess to other local veterinarians, initially thinking nothing of it. After assembling and customizing his scrubs in our basement, word of mouth began to spread for the admiration and demand of his uniforms. Soon orders began pouring in for scrubs, lab coats, embroidery, and requests for additional items. The rest is history! Embroidery and engraving services were eventually added along with an expanded catalog, additional lines, Rx items, and much more. We continuously search and narrow down unique lines that work in the veterinary profession as fabrics that shed hair, wash well, and are extremely durable. As animal lovers, we are extremely grateful to be a part of the veterinary community for so many years. VAC strives to provide you and your team with excellent products, service, and care to ensure you have everything you need to succeed. Sharon VanVranken (Owner)
